Image To Mosaic With Jquery Crop

Hi there,
For my mosaic site (www.brixels.net) I need a script, which can handle following tasks:
1. Upload an image via a webinterface in a temporary folder and crop it online with 3 different dimensions: square, landscape and horizon. Live thumbnail preview like here: http://www.webmotionuk.co.uk/jquery/image_upload_crop.php
2. Furthermore the thumbnail image (48x48px but displayed larger) should be transformed into an grayscale image which consists of only 4 colors (black, white, darkgray, lightgray). Is this possible width php imagefilter?
3. Live preview of the cropped image, and save it (as well as the oringinal image) and send it to the server with an unique name.
4. This script should work with multible users doing this at the same time.
Any ideas?

Forgot to add: you will also have to make it work with the theme. So that means installing your theme into the Galleria plugin's themes folder AND making sure it correctly works in the current WP theme. You can edit the WP theme files if need be to get it to work.
