Logo Needed For Freelance Writer

I am a freelance writer and I need a logo. I don't need anything fancy, just something simple and professional that doesn't look like every other freelance writer's logo.
I suppose I need it in whichever format can be best used with WordPress, LinkedIn, Twitter and the like. I also think I want one copy in black and white, and one in color (same logo) so that I can use the black and white if needed.
As you can see, I know nothing of graphic design -- I'm sure you know what I need better than I do. =)
