We require creation of a Wordpress Plugin that creates single opt-in signup forms which sends data to a Mailchimp account.
The plugin will allow a user to create (multiple) signup forms within MailChimp that send the details to Mailchimp using the API and avoiding the double opt-in process.
A plugin with similar functionality can be found at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mailchimp. The major functionality differences are its double opt=in and sidebar widget only.
A lot of the code could be borrowed from this. Having a look at this plugin will also help to understand the functionality and concept of this new plugin.
