I need custom iPhone programming to enable a user, in the field, to input 'running' dimensional data as he/she measures a space.
For example, if there was a rectangular room, 20 feet X 25 feet, with windows and doors in the four walls, the user would start at one corner and measure from that corner to the first wall penetration (i.e., window) - he would input that data, say - 6 feet 4 inches....then record a wall thickness (say 8") followed by the window width (3'-0"), etc. etc.....all the way around the room. When the 'circuit' is completed, he could wirelessly transmit that datastream to a server in his office, which would then open the datastream and, following a script, translate the data into a CAD file......
With 35+ years architectural experience I KNOW this can be done......
