I have a new wordpress install

I need to get a theme working it works off antoher template that I downloaded from a site.

Its all very simple just get working.

I dont need the old data so you can delete what you want just want working right.

After upgrading to Wordpress 2.9.2 my post list page comes up empty and I am now not able to write any post as that page is empty as well, with the exception of the sidebar.

I am looking for someone who has experience with wordpress and can fix this quickly.
