Customizable Horiz. Rss Ticker
Required skills: Flash
This ticker will be used as a widget and needs to fill the screen, so no fixed width or height.
News should be presented in a horizontal bar with _smooth_ (very important!) text scrolling from right to left.
The news items don't need to be linked to an article, no interaction is needed. Text should be presented as HTML to parse quotes (") and other HTML-char's.
Following should be configurable in a XML settings file:
- Font color
- Font size
- Font weight
- All capitals (boolean)
- Scrolling speed
- Seperator image or character between news items (boolean)
- Seperator image file (.gif/.jpg)
- Seperator image character
- Padding between seperator image/character and news items
- Background image or color (boolean)
- Background image
- Background color
- Padding bottom of news items
- Padding top of news items
- Local or remote RSS feed URL

We have a Flash RSS ticker that pulls an rss feed from a site.
All is working fine, how ever the client is having problems with the feed being loaded more than once per session.
We would like it so that it only loads the feed once per session.
Files will be supplied to chosen Developer

Urgen: Flash Rss Ticker
RSS ticker banner which was built for us, That needs some urgent modifcations.
The banner is currently pulling an rss feed and displaying two parts from the feed.
The client how ever has been told that the banner is putting to much of a load on the server which hosts the rss file.
We need it so this is fixed.

Modify an existing Flex application by removing features
I see the application uses an sql file for feed configuration and would like to deploy a default database that includes my default feeds. I have tested replacing the sql file with a modified one from another computer and see that it allows the app to use the feeds configured from that other computer. This will allow me to edit the feeds remotely using a login script that copies the most up to date sql file to user's desktops.

Info collected will need to be name and email address. All data will need to be compiled into a list that can easily be used to email everyone.

we run a news website, see attached text file. We want you to remove the navigation part: Home/Yahoo etc. and remove all existing RSS feeds.
Than, we just need one feed, see attached textfile again.
Ads need to stay where they are and code must remain exactly the same.

Either way, I would like it to have an item on the dashboard, where I can go to enter the TIME I want to pull the feed item (tomorrow's item, which would require an argument supplied with the url based on tomorrow's date), an area to enter the static information for each day of week (i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc) to be appended, plus a single item area (reminder) which will be appended to the post prior to the static day-of-week information.
