Custom Google Map

I'm interested in creating a custom Google Map which lists lodges around the USA (similar to these websites:)

The enlarged balloon for each listing should accommodate two items: a hyperlink to the internal page on my website, and an image (both of which I'll add)
And I just want to make sure I'm explaining correctly here -- I don't expect the programmer to input all the lodge info, as I'll do that. I simply need the underlying code created. Once it's created, I'll go in and add each lodge manually (I can lightly code HTML)
My site operates on the Wordpress CMS, so if there are any technical implementation steps with that CMS, I'll need some tips on how to install the custom map there as well..

Custom Google Map
On my home page, I need a Google map to pull the most recent yardsales from the database and display them on a map. There is a zoom feature and compass feature that needs to function which is typical of every map.

Need Custom Google map API
ogle map program to add to my website. Along the lines of wikimapia.com. Need my users to be able to input data on map. Users need to be able to click a location or input address and have a icon appear on map and a java window to appear to add basic info about a person at that location. IE picture, description, links etc.
