Amazon Api - Php To Xml File
Required skills: PHP, Wordpress, XHTML, XML, MySQL
Basically what we need, is a script to take hand inputted text/html variables for a product on amazon (ASIN, URL titles, category, tags, product hyperlink,) alongside of using Amazon's API/XML/REST/ to retrieve info from the product's customer reviews (rating, summary, reviewer name, content, amazon URL) and then use the above fetched and inputted variables in PHP to populate an XML template containing 10-30 products with 3-10 review entries each.
The XML file/template will be in ‘wordpress eXtended rss' format, essentially just a format of XML for the purpose of importing and exporting wordpress blog content. I will supply examples of a ‘wordpress eXtended rss' XML file, as well as the PHP script wordpress uses to compile such XML files, to give you a better understanding of the format - I believe the php code wordpress uses to make the final XML file can pretty much just be copied over, obviously replacing the above variables and functions wordpress uses to fetch the data from the wp database with the information the new script has gathered.
The final code would belong to me. We are looking for someone quite familiar with Amazon's web services, API, and PHP... to keep the cost and production time down very low. Please reply if interested and capable and I will give a more comprehensive explanation to those interested and qualifying.

fix scraper and recode to output to XML
he code from scratch, which is probably a waste of time, as the scraper has been created, and output to XML. OR you can rewrite the code that writes to mysql and instead send it to XML (using SimpleXML or something (classes best for extensibility).

We need a Flash / Flex user interface to open a server side XML file, display its contents, and allow client side editing, then saving. This project is a conversion of an existing windows based program, which has been translated to PHP / Javascript.
