Required skills: PHP, MySQL, Script Installation
What I need done:
I need a PHP script that pulls information from database and inserts it into a styled template. This will automate the creation of multiple (> 20) websites that are simple 5 page product sites...the script will automate the insertion/display of content into the templates, and the creation of file titles, nav bar links, H1 content, etc based on keywords stored in the database. The script will pull content from our MySQL dbase, assign variables to this data based on what URL called it, and place the mostly text data into a simple html/php template. I will provide the 4-page site design template in HTML format and I need you to make it into a PHP file that inserts the content being pulled from dbase using script.
I need you to:
(a) write the script of approximately 300 lines of code and
(b) modify my HTML template to use/display the data content that the script is pulling from my database
(c) create the 3-5 MySQL tables where the URLs, content, and keywords will be stored to mass-produce these websites.
(d) test / verify that the script displays database content and dynamic items correctly within static template I provide that you convert to a dynamic site.
I expect no more than 20 hours of work in all on this first project.
You are working on the php code - and this code will control the dynamic creation of websites. Each of these websites will have the exact same layout and style and all of the websites will be affiliate sites that will display products for our affiliate partner, and the products on our site will be links to our affiliate partner. I will provide spreadsheets with the product names, prices, descriptions, links to images, etc. I will also be responsible for the style of the website template, the relationship with our affiliate partner. We will put the product data feed spreadsheets into our database, and the code you will write will organize the selection and display of these products, images, and descriptions, within the template. I need for you to make this site code flexible so that it will enable me to use it to create many many websites. I will be responsible for handling DNS setup, file uploads to create the multiple sites, etc. You will be responsible for making the code in a way that lets me dynamically create any site, as long as the correct data is in the database and the domain name, DNS, hosting, etc is all setup.

I will also provide the following: the URLs to be used, the content to be displayed on the websites, the logos, images & css sheet, the MySQL dbase login name and pw, hosting FTP logins, keywords, and experience with how these 3 files will produce multiple templatized websites, original HTML style page to be converted into template file, content for Dbase plus keywords & file names & content for the site...
You will write the new script that will recognize the URL its building & pull data from dbase, layout the dbase tables, and convert our HTML page template into a PHP that displays variabled dbase content, which is pulled using the script.
Reason for specific files requested:
I will ask you to create the script in a very specific way, to accomplish a specific goal that I have experience with and for which I have a clear vision. If you are confident in your PHP & MySQL skills, then you will definitely be able to accomplish this.
Specific expertise that I am seeking:
You should have experience writing PHP scripts that pull MySQL data, organizing databases to enable fast website dynamic websites. Experience with creating multiple templated websites from just a few basic files, with all of the site content, headers, and keywords being pulled from the Dbase & with all of the images stored in a shared location on FTP.
While this is a quick project and the most urgent for me, I am very interested in building a relationship with a talented programmer who can do other projects that will require these same types of skills.
I prefer that you are one individual or a small team (2-3 people). Because I have many projects pending I hope that this is the beginning of a solid relationship where you succeed at the project and that we can do more like it. I currently work with programmers in Argentina, Russia, and India in this context and am hoping to 'meet' and work with another energetic individual who is decisive and has the ability/interest to pursue other future projects like this one. I have chosen this quick first project so that we can 'get to know each other' and I will pay you quickly via paypal. I even prefer to pay in smaller increments (such as paying 1/2 the $ amount at midpoint of the project and then the remainder at completion) so that you are not waiting until the final completion of the project, in order to remove any concern from your side about non-payment.
Finally, I hope that you will provide suggested improvements to what I have requested here. While there are some minimum requirements, I would like to know if you have ideas for a better way to accomplish these goals and still give greater flexibility and/or quality. It would be even better if you already know of some open source code, for example, that could do this for us.

Php/mysql Drupal Site
drupal 5 with some custom modules. New there will be based on this template:

Also, we have some custom blocks and module which may not be available in the theme, therefore it is not just putting new theme in the folder, developer needs to have good understanding of Drupal APIs, php and mysql.

o have the site updated from the old style markup style with old HTML and FRAMES to a seperate CSS stylesheet and XHTML without (i)frames. The important thing is that the delivered template looks the same as the original in IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera and Safari.

The PHP/MySQL functionality includes some calculated fields, a few long logic algorithms, a complicated search form, and a complicated pagination structure for display of found records.
PHP needs to be version 5 and all PHP, CSS, and JS coding needs to be very well commented.
