We are looking for someone to develop a server backend to interface with a mobile application. The bidding for this project will start at 20 hours, but will be extended if we are happy with the initial result. We are projecting up to a month of development.
You will create an API from the ground up (RESTful web services)
You will be fully responsible for every aspect of the server backend,
from design, to deployment of the app in a production environment.
We are looking for someone with experience in deployment and configuration of AWS EC2 instances.
We are open to using either PHP or Rails for development.
The project will be under version control. Ability to efficiently deploy from the repository is a must.
The required architecture and code will be pretty standard, store and retrieve values, validate, authenticate user, etc.
Please only inquire if you are a strong candidate for this project AND can commit up to 20 hours a week or more for the next few weeks. The project is on a pretty tight timeline so we are looking for someone that will be able to start immediately and provide a fast turnaround. You must be available for frequent contact via email, Skype, IM, etc. as you will be working closely with the mobile app developer. Strong communication skills is a must.
