Relatively Simple Excel function help needed
Required skills: Excel
Need help coming up with an Excel function. This one should be quite simple and straightforward if you have sufficient experience with Excel functions (which I don't). What I'm looking for is a function for the cells in a column (Column A) that, for each row, will compare the value in Column B for that row with all the values in the same column for the rows above as well as all the rows in that column (Column B) in two other worksheets.
If a match is found, the corresponding value in Column A of that row will then be returned. If no match is found, the text 'NO MATCH' will be returned.

Since I have many data series (thousands), I need something that works automatically. The problem with the Averageif function is that the criteria cannot be referenced to cells. This means that I should enter the Percentiles as criteria in the averageif function for every data series. It will take too much time and result in a mess.
Any workaround or solution ? MUST BE EXCEL..and very simple too.

Simple Excel/VB Macro
e file containing the following data fields (a) document # (b) GL account (c) Fund # (d) dept # and debit and credit columns. The source system generating the file sometimes "rounds" by a cent throwing a document out of balance. The macro needs to read the data and, when it finds a document out of balance, balance the debits and credits. Written -- detailed -- specs are available with sample data, logic to apply, and sample results.

e put in worked, col 6, time put in finished, col 7 (col 5 - col 6), then col 8 = (col 4 - col 7), so if lady says she worked from 9am - 8pm = 11hrs, but put in she worked 9am - 5pm = 8hrs, i then want to subtract 11 - 8 = +3 hrs of overtime. then add that column all the way to bottom. the end.
seems simple enough, but i could not figure out how to do it by just reading excel books.

Excel Function - Deleterows

2. Next, it should ask if the value to be checked is a string (and then blank for the string) OR a range of numerical values (followed by 2 blanks to get the start and end numbers of the range).
Then, all the rows based on that criteria should be deleted.

Count Occurances of Duplicate Vales in a Large Excel File
ta sets that counts the occurrences of the owners' address field so that i can sort the records according to. I would consider the data sets to be large, they are both more that 600000 records long and each record contains about 50 fields. I'm sure there is a very simple excel function that can handle this, I just don't know how to do it.

Final Macro will re-create the Unix Time Date Field but containing the new "Start Date and Start Time", in the same location as the original field and delete the individual fields (Start Date and Start Time)as no longer needed. At the same time it will modify another UNIX field (also containing the same formatted data but will be set to 48 hours after the data in the "start date" and "start time". No need to convert this data out of UNIX unless necessary.
