Contraction Timer app for iPhone and iPad
Required skills: Cocoa, iPad, iPhone, Mobile Phone, Objective C
We need design and coding of a contraction timer app for iPhone and iPad. If needed, we are willing to split the project in two; one part for design and another part for the coding.
The app should have a very simple and intuitive GUI, and will need a design which appeals to female users, as they are the ones who will be using this app.
Of similar, existing apps we like the
Contraction Master (choice of color and functionality)
Simple Contraction Timer (simplicity, not choice of color)
We want the app to be extremely easy to use.
Description of app:
1. Tap once at the start of a contraction and tap again at the end. The app will keep track of the start time, end time and frequency of contractions.
2. After each contraction recorded, the user can indicate how strong the contraction was on a scale of «Very Mild» «Mild» «Medium» «Strong» «Very Strong»
3. Option to delete or edit a contraction recording already done.
4. The app should have a graph displaying average length and duration of last 10 contractions.
5. The app should have a graph with overview over contraction frequency over 3, 6, 12 or 24 hour period.
6. Alert message «Go to hospital» based on frequency and strength of contractions.
7. Multitasking support to let the app run in background.
8. Add telephone number to the hospital in settings, to call the hospital directly from app.
9. Add address to hospital in settings, to bring up Map Application with directions to hospital directly from this app.
10. Send email with report containing contraction history and intensity to doctor.
11. Support for printing directly from app.
12. Localization of app. We will make prototype in English, but the app needs to have support for more languages to be added later.
13. The app should work on both iPhone and iPad.
14. Graphics needs to be made both for iPhone, Retina display and for iPad display.
We will place money in escrow when GUI and design is approved by us.
50 percent of escrow will be released on delivery of a working app accepted by us, and the rest of escrow will be released after the app is approved by App Store.
Requirements:
- Freelancer should be available for Skype Chat & Phone.
- App must work with the latest iOS release and have backwards compatibility with iPhone OS 3.x.
- Prior experience with programming apps, with some apps already in the iTunes App Store.
- Copyright of completed project will be ours.
