I am working on an interesting concept that essential is a Pandora (also similar to last.fm) for videos. It is an automated video clip recommendation service that plays video clip selections similar to the keyword or category suggestions entered by a user. It has all of the same functionality and look of Pandora, such as:
- Database of user and Admin submitted video clips
- Video player for streaming videos
- Creating channels by entering in a keyword or category of videos
- Recommendation algorithm that selects the next video in the channel based on a combination of similar: category, keywords and rating; and the next video buffers in the background while the current video is playing
- User profiles that can save clips to their favorites
- User vote thumbs up, thumbs down to rate videos (thumbs down skips to next video)
- User can skip to next video with skip button
- Users can adjust the duration of the videos to set intervals: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 min, 2 min, 3 min
Those summarize the primary features. We are open to programming language types, as long as the design and navigation is fluid and user-friendly. For me details on the project, PM me.
