We at Toil Software are in need of an ASP.net 4.0 C# Programmer with SQL Server 2008 experience. Our windows application: MOD, was build here on freelancer.com
We are not programmers, simply a small team trying to satisfy the needs of our customers. We can provide a description of what we want, and our ideas on how to get there – but ultimately we are counting on you, the programmer, for developing the best way to implement changes. We also provide update requests & bug lists in a detailed and usable form.
Summary:
MOD was designed as a windows application capable of printing money orders and tracking sales figures of those sales.
MOD is divided into 3 parts:
Server Client- Runs as a windows service on our Windows Server 2008 R2, communicates with SQL Server 2008 R2 on the same machine. SQL database contains tables with information on money orders, companies, tellers, licensing etc.
Teller Client- Runs on window x32 & x64 bit systems using Windows’s “oneclick” software to streamline updates & initial installation. This client is used to actually send the money order information to the printer (Okidata 320 Turbo) utilizing window’s standard language. It also sends the information to the server. The client is capable of running basic reports (daily sales total for example).
Admin Client- Contains much of the same code as the teller client, but is capable of changing user information, advanced reporting, e-mail notification settings, manual money order adjustment, and more. This client is also in-capable of creating new money orders.
What’s the job?
Please see the attached requirements for a “Service Fee” application. To expedite, this application could be built stand-alone and executed from the server itself. Alternatively, it could be embedded within the admin-client as it is currently and the operations could be completed form any authenticated user. (the current version doesn’t work)
My requirement brief is very detailed, it shouldn’t take a good program very long to accomplish the task once give the specific database table and field information the program would be affecting. (I will give you a copy of the current database to extract the information you will need). Someone who can complete this project quickly would be a good candidate to receive future work from us.

File names should be stored in a string variable.
Error checking should be provided (fail to open file, tag not found, etc.) with output to console/output.txt file.
This should be a very simple project for someone that works regularly in C++.
I am also a programmer, but very rusty in C++, and just need this as a jump start to a larger project.
