OccupyShopping

We need a new website built called OccupyShopping.org. The preferred language is PHP, but would be open to change if needed and proved better.
This will be an Occupy website so we need someone familiar with the goals of the Occupy movement. It is planned that this will be a website designed to be a real tool we and others can use. I am looking for a ‘long-term’ working relationship. The purpose of the site will be to give others information on which companies are donating to which parties or special interest groups. It will then identify what products those companies are making and selling. It will then encourage members of the 99% to boycott those company’s products who usurp the democratic process by attempting to buy politicians, judges or regulations. We will then keep companies and the media up to date on the progress of the boycotts.
To do this, the website will need:
1. A strong PHP/MySQL database that allows people from Occupy sites all over the USA, and later the globe, to enter data about various companies.
2. These Occupy sites will be given logins based on their official “occupy” email address.
3. The database will need to store company names, product names, product logos, address for the companies, phone numbers and emails for companies, and who entered the data based on the login email.
4. We would then need something to organize the boycott based on people’s login information and keep track of how many people have agreed to boycott which companies.
5. Eventually we would like to be able to email companies on a weekly basis with the statics on how many people are joining the boycott of their products.
6. At a minimum, it would need to interface with Facebook and with Twitter.
7. Besides the database, there would be a section where we highlight specific companies and push to boycott their products as long as they continue to use company profits to fund buying political power. You get the general idea by reviewing the website started at the url, http://www.occupyshopping.com/
We fully expect this to go national and get some good exposure when it is picked up by the media. I am discussing this and coordinating with both Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Atlanta although it isn’t sponsored by either of them. If you are at all familiar with the Occupy movement you will know that it is pretty open and allows for personal initiative. It will need to be a robust program built for easy expansion. While I will not be making money off of this site, the individual or individuals helping create the site will be able to profit based advertising their skills. They will be able to put their “created by” logo on any and all pages. If it goes viral this could be a real boost for someone.
Please provide some relevant samples of your work and any qualifications that will help me in making my decision. Also, communication will be vital for this project and I only speak English. Please tell me if English is your 1st, 2nd, 3rd (etc.) language. The person must be sympathetic to the Occupy goals. Also, provide any other information that may help me in making my decision.
*There is quite a bit going on here- you must be proficient in many things- building a website, working with MySQL- being able to manipulate it from the site’s backend for queries and such, organize some social networking, much more.
