Software Application for the game Mastermind
Required skills: C++ Programming
Analyze, design and deploy a software application, which may be one person - player to play the familiar game Mastermind against the computer. The application can be run in two different editions.
In the first edition of application: The computer selects secretly 4 or 6 colors between 8 colors and ordering a series of invisible to the player. The player must guess which colors chosen by the computer and their arrangement. For each color has guessed correctly the player, computer shows a blank flag (or circular surface) and for each color which has guessed correctly and position, it shows a black flag (or circular surface).
In the second edition of application: The player must put the hidden combination for 4
of the 8 colors and the computer tries to guess the correct combination. In this case each answer computer person plays on the PC you need every color has guessed correctly (from the computer)the computer to show a white flag (or circular surface) and for each color which has guessed correctly and capable of showing a black flag (or circular surface).
The choice of colors in each row is a table 4x10 or 6x10 as the player has 10 attempts to guess correct colors. Each prediction is evaluated computer to the first issue or the player in second. The flags (or circular surfaces) placed in a second table 4x10 or 6x10 shown parallel to the first table. We know, however, the player or computer (depending on which version is running) which of the colors chosen are right and which are located in the right place. Each round of play ends either if the player or the computer equivalent guessed right colors with their proper provision, or if completed unsuccessfully 10 attempts.
The scoring is made as follows: If guess correctly on the first attempt win 100 points, if guess correctly in the second earns 90 points, etc. Although in 10 attempts fails, then deducted 30 points. The player can play as many times as desired.
Any time, the current game can be saved, to continue the game other time.
Each player can enter his data information and to store personal score. There is the possibility of recording and scoring maximum of 8 players.The system can provide useful guidance to the player about the rules of the game.
The software must be made only with C++ from Visual Studio 2008 or 2010.
