Hi there,
I am looking for a system administrator who has EXPERIENCE securing a linux centos system. We have a VPS and a Drupal website installed. We need you to ensure our Firewall, WHM, Cpanel is set up correctly. We need to ensure proper monitoring software is installed, so we know when our server goes down. Most importantly, we need our system secure from hackers.
1) we need you to be a linux security expert
2) We want someone who we can contact when there are server problems.
3) Spoken English is a must, and a skype address where we can contact you via chat or voice if needed.
4) We need you to set up proper linux user accounts so we dont have to login as root when we need shell access
5) We need you to review our firewall and make sure it is set up correctly, guarding the appropriate ports
6) We need you to check our virus scanner to make sure it is up-to-date and is a good virus scanner, and make sure it is configured properly
7) Our system was insecure for about 5 days, so we need you to make sure there were no backdoors installed / root kits
8) After work is complete, we need you to provide us with a sort documented report of the tasks you performed on the server so we know of the work done.
9) we need you to advise us / possibly install server monitoring software so we can find out why our server crashes from time to time
10) We need you to check out server monthly
