Multi-store Website - global search function code

I am developing an online market stall and need someone to custom code my websites search function.
I am using wordpress, buddypress, marketpress multistores wordpress plugins on the simplemarket template. This template has a search function that currently on searches the main site, does not integrate the subsites. I am looking for someone who can code the search function to link to a plugin like the 'global search' so you can search from the main site all products etc.
I am looking for someone to develop this search function so I can integrate a filter on the subsites to search just the sub-site or the whole global site. Etsy has a good example of this function.
As part of this job I require assistance in setting up gallery type pages to display global product listings on the main site.
If I am happy with your service I may have ongoing small jobs.

We can't figure out how http://www.notforplayers.com/find-a-date (Drupal based online dating website) did that. Everybody is advising us that we just need to tweak PHP code and it could be accomplished in about 10 lines of script. We are not that savy in code writing so we are stuck.

Simple search function for website
fy the terms and the urls that these terms will go to. PLEASE NOTE: this list must be easy to edit/update and not time consuming as I have very, very limited programming skills. It can be XML based or if you can figure out a much simpler way like a TXT file, that would be great also.
