Canonical URL issue with ASP eCommerce site  

e changed in the admin section, the new URL shows in the URL address bar but the original dynamic URL is still shown in the bottom grey bar when the page link is hovered over.
It looks like a URL like www.example.com/prodList.asp?idCategory=37 has been redirected and needs permanently rewriting so when the new URL is set in the admin, the link www.example.com/prodList.asp?idCategory=37 becomes www.example.com/new-name anywhere on the site it is used.

When the customer checks out they need to be offered these extra options and charged accordingly.
