We run a travel company for backpackers in Australia. We need an extra function created for our existing site www.travellers.com.au which is built in DotNetNuke
The new function will enable us to manage a mail-forwarding service for customers.
Basically, when a new letter/postcard arrives for our clients we need to scan it and upload it to our website.
Members get an email with a copy of the scan attached.
The scan is saved online for 90 days before expiring.
Members can login-to view the files.
Members may also receive a parcel which cannot be scanned, so in this case, we need to enter a description of the parcel / package and an email notification is sent to the member.
The member can then login to the site and nominate if the parcel is to be held here at our office for them to collect or if they want us to post it to them. If they want it posted they must provide a postal address.
We can add a note to the Parcel when its been posted to the address, so the client can see its been sent.
We already have a database of member for a range of other services. Our Mail Service customers will get a 'Role' as a Mail Service Member, allowing them to login to the site with their email address and date of birth as a password.
