Web Design for eCommerce shop selling artwork with matching Wordpress template design.
The design should be something simple and clean where the artwork being sold is the star. We are big on social media integration and marketing, so this too must be a focus.
The home page should showcase artwork and have space for an "offer" which will be changed regularly by the shop owner. Navigation of the site should be intuitive and fluid. Too many websites these days are confusing for the website visitor and are losing sales because of this.
Here are some websites for inspiration. You can also see the quality of design we are looking for by reviewing these.

We love the simplicity of this site - although we might reverse the colors white on black to showcase the artwork and and our company individuality.
We love that this site shows artwork hanging in living spaces. Can settings like these be photoshopped, adding our artwork to stock photography of rooms?
Obviously we cannot photograph everything, but is it possible to photoshop images into 'scenarios"? I think when people see an image as a large piece on a wall it is more attractive etc. Then they may buy a less expensive smaller piece.
I like the way they showcase the different sizes and then have drop down list to pick from - our website has many framing options so product pages must have this type of dropdown.

Great site and visually strong, easy to navigate and use and nice space for offers etc.
3. www.gilt.com
As above - love the invite friends feature on this where for every 10 people you get free shipping - an incentive to spread the word
