Image competition website project
Required skills: Graphic Design, HTML, MySQL, PHP, Website Design
We are working on building a new image competition website in the UK, and need someone to design something awesome that people can go into and check out. It has to be: smashing, beautiful, easily browsable, and sellable (people would want to come back to it to check it out for updates).
It is required that you have built websites that contains image galleries in the past, and has a good understanding as to what sells and what doesn't on the internet.
The website has to include, and is not limited to the following:
* Logo design that works perfectly with the overall website design.
* Image galleries that is either flash based or using some sort of plugin that allows for "resizing to fit the screen/click to see full size" and can be used as a slideshow.
* It has to have a few sections that we need in order to make it work for us: news, latest gallery, current competitors (listed on one page with one image each, with some text under it), how to vote, application page (with auto emails to us, and some image fields), blog (which can be used over an iphone to write entries and upload images, limited to admins)
* An easy, but flexible and easily understandable admin page that will allow us to manage the sections above with ease.
* All galleries (linked to from the current competitors page) needs to have front image with framing.
When making the overall design, take into account that we got to have space for sponsors and commercials. You should know what sizes the companies uses for their banners (they will be in standard format). Also allow for a top and foot banner in full width (which will make the website approx 1024px wide).
We need this completed before June 1st, when we launch it, so make sure you can keep that deadline.
