Requirements:
1. You can chat in english on Skype for our working method
2. You are familiar with getting sites up at my server provider 1and1.
Job Description:
I need 3 very similar websites made. All will share the same basic style, so if we like working together on this first small one you will be able to use it as a as a template for the larger ones.
Here is part 1 -- this is the project you will now be bidding on. I think it is very simple as the design work is all done.
Specific Work:
1. Back up the art work/scripts of my current websites at 1and1 (there are 3 simple 1 to 6 page sites up now) I need you to download back up copies of them and send to me via www.yousendit.com
2. Back up my current 1and1 configuration and content (and keep it at 1and1 if they provide a space for this in my package which I think they do):
Directory Description
/boot: Files important for boot process
/etc: System configuration files
/home: Domains and home directories of users
/root: Homedirectory of root
/var/lib/mysql: MySQL-Databases
/var/logs: Log-files
/var/spool/mail: User-mailboxes
/var/spool/cron: Cron-Jobs
/usr/lib/python2.1/site-packages: PLESK Configuration
3. Build the 1st small website (GO EAST) from my design:
a. in the most cost effective method (JS + HTML?)
b. with a "1 page" effect: The menus stay constant on the left -- and the content on the white background page just changes with touching or clicking links -- so the site appears to be 1 page with changing content -- rather than a series of pages that have to "load"
c. Fast loading. (perhaps the other pages images are loading in the background? Ajax?)
d. So it displays nicely on all computers with OSX & Windows using Safari, Explorer & Firefox
e. make the email contact on the last page a link to bring up an email for users.
f. create a subdomain and hook the site up at 1 and 1.
MISC:
I will give you a link to a sample site to review before I accept your bid -- so you fully understand what's required.
I will provide:
A full designed PDF sample, listing all fonts and styles
A word document with copies of all the text already in the desired fonts.
All the images already reduced in size, and most of them already cropped.
A sample of the black-purple background I want from another site that you can copy or re-create.
