Size of the worldwide market for building rock rubble?

Hello. I want a report which states the worldwide use of unprocessed rock, in tonnes/year, to build structures where each rock is deliberately placed to form a high packing density and an interlocking structure.
This is more difficult than it sounds. The researcher will need a very good understanding of English and a very good understanding of research methods.They will also need to have specialist knowledge, or know people who have specialist knowledge, about the use of unprocessed rock as a stand-alone building material.
The structures I'm talking about can be vertical as in the wall of a house, reclining at an angle as in a breakwater or horizontal as in paving. The structures can be built with or without mortar. The types of structures which are built using this method are paving, cladding, drystone walls, retaining walls, agricultural terracing, river levees, seawalls, breakwaters, foundations, land stabilisation structures, dams, houses, public buildings, etc. The common feature is that the rock's are irregular in shape where each rock has a unique shape and none of the rocks have been shaped beyond some rudimentary knocking off of a corner here or there and they have been deliberately placed to form a tightly interlocking pattern as seen from the outside of the structure. The rocks can be of any natural rock type and are accessed from a quarry after blasting or directly from the ground as naturally occurring rubble.
I don't want data on the use of rock rubble which is used as a bulk building material such as road base, railway ballast, concrete aggregate or where structures such as breakwaters are built from dumping rocks on mass into a mound or slope of random rubble. Nor do I want data on dimension stone (rock which has been cut or shaped into blocks or slabs), concrete, brick, imitation stone products or on the use of slab stone, such as slate, used as a roofing material.
I would like all data to be referenced to reputable publications with publication name, author, date, volume and page number quoted in the reference. Either a website link to a publicly available document or a copy of the relevant page of the document should be provided with the report. If data comes from personal communications then the name, profession, position and contact details of the source should be provided. If data representing a particular aspect of the market comes from personal communication then the data should come from at least 3 independent sources (for example, 3 engineers working in 3 separate companies) to avoid bias due to the limited experience of each source.
Methods to estimate worldwide size of the market should be described in detail. For instance in the publication "The Rock Manual" published by CIRIA in 2006, on page iii, it is stated that 10 million tonnes of rock armourstone is used in Europe each year. It is not stated what proportion of that rock is placed in the structure in a deliberate manner to achieve a tightly packed structure so the researcher will need to state methods they have used to estimate that proportion. One method I've tried (with varying success) is to survey coastal areas using Google Earth and observe the technique used to build large seawalls. For example use GE to zoom in on the breakwater at Apollo Bay, Victoria, Australia and you'll notice that the deliberately placed rocks on the seaward side of the structure have a honey-comb appearance while the rocks which have been dumped have a random appearance.
The main report should be in English and in MS (Windows XP) doc format. It need only be 2 to 6 pages long and have document copies as an attachment.
