Quick wordpress customization: I bought it, you customize it

I don't have the time and frankly, it's a little annoying, but I know you techies out there who want to play with the template can make it look good.
I have a wordpress website. To make it look better, I bought one of those templates out there that looks nice. Kind of like this one: http://wordpress.site5.net/boldy/
Except, the problem is that there's a bit of customization that's required. I'll give you my account details and also the template to play around with & access to my site, but I need you to NOT change the website until the development is done on your end. So, I need you to make the adjustments to all the files or figure out the settings changes on your end with a practice website.
I don't want any downtime when we have to start the website live after you're done figuring out all the adjustments. You may not even need to do any coding.
You probably do need to do some graphics work though getting at least:
*the header logo
*buttons to click on throughout the homepage & blog
customized.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK/Portfolio in your initial bid. Without it, I will NOT look at your PM.

ject), and since the last guy I had who did this kind of thing for me quit freelance and went to work for a company, I'll need someone in the future to do other stuff like this. I'm just hoping whoever does this job is willing to other small jobs in the $ 20-$ 50 range (instead of doing one job cheap like this and then charging a lot more in the future). So if you can do work like this consistently cheap, that's what I'm looking for :)

b since all I need you to do is add a custom header and background image to my theme. (Header image should include topic related visuals as well as a logo)

1. Create an aside plugin/widget to call for a post (which will link to external source) and comments.
2. CSS style each post in an alternate table row using Java/Query.
