VPN ON A DEDICATED SERVER
Required skills: Linux
Windows Automation. We need an application that will automate the setup of a VPN Server on WinXP, WinVista, and Win7. We want it to use the native Windows VPN software so automation shouldnt be to difficult for the right person. We may have further work to help integrate this into an installation application if this app is built successfully. Below is a list of the steps that will need to be automated on a Windows 7 machine. This is an example, we dont actually expect that you would need all this, but this is how we setup the connections manually right now. It would be nice to be able to "Add/Remove" the installed VPN connection using the same app, but that is probably out of scope for this project as doing that is very easy within windows already anyways. However, we would like another app that would "enable/disable" the new connection without having the Connect window show up with the u/p all the time. If thats even possible, we would like an app that will enable/disable the app via a command line call. Like something.exe /enable something.exe /disable. This was we could incorporate it into our application with a .bat file or something easy like that.
1. start->Control Panel
2. Put this in the url bar of the control panel: Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsNetwork and Sharing Center
3. Click "Setup a new Connection or Network"
4. Click "Connect to a Workplace" -> Next
5. Keep the bullet in "No, create a new connection" -> Next
6. Click "Use my Internet Connection (VPN)"
7a. Internet Address: SOMEPLACE.COM
7b. Put a check in "Dont connect now; just set it up so I can connect later
7c. Destination Name: Rooskies VPN Serva -> Next (this is just a descriptive name, it could be anything)
9a. Username: SomeName
9b. Password: SomePassword
9c. Put a check in Remember this password -> Close (DO NOT CLICK CONNECT NOW IT WONT WORK)
10. In the network and sharing center click "Change Adapter settings"
11. right click on "Rooskies VPN Serva" or whatever you called it and click "Properties
12. Security tab: Type of VPN: PPTP
13. Security tab: Data Encryption: No encryption Allowed
14. Networking tab: uncheck ALL items except for "Internet Protocol Version 4" This is for security, you dont need people snooping around your machine using microsoft network stuff.
15. Highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4" and select "Properties"
16. Click "Advanced"
17. Uncheck "User default gateway on remote network" -> Ok -> Ok -> Ok
18. You should now be back at the network connections screen.
19. Right click "Rooskies War2 Serva" and select "Connect"
20. Click "Connect" on the next screen, no need to input the pw again.
21. Click cancel if a window showing home network, public network, etc pops up. Its not needed.

I want to be able to mask my IP basically to the UK one by connecting via VPN.
Just like services like www.strongvpn.com do.
I will be requiring this to be done on other servers on a regular basis. So I am hoping I can find someone that would be a good fit to work together on a long term basis.

Help Setup A Dedicated Server
some perl scripts. The server runs on CentOS and has Webmin control panel. We need help with the following.
1. Create a couple of new accounts and configure ftp connectivity
2. Upload perl scripts to the cgi-bin
3. Install some commonly used perl modules such as lwp:useragent from cpan. We will supply the list of modules that need to be installed.
4. Set up cron jobs
5. A few other minor tasks.
We expect prompt support over phone and by email.

Setup domains on a dedicated server
I need 5 domains setup on my dedicated server. I have setup the virtual server for one but when I try and access the site it gives me a forbidden error. I just need someone to setup the domains correctly and the virtual nameservers. It's nothing hard for someone that know what they are doing.
