Online Driver Education Course / FLV Video and Timed Quizzes

- Customer Signup for Online Course (Ecommerce / Credit Card Transaction). After successful payment, Customer Login and password is provided to the user for logging into the course.
- Course content will primarily be displayed using Flash Video. Timers must be implemented so that normal playback
time is recorded so that we can insure that the full length of each video is being watched prior to proceeding to subsequent videos. The video is currently in the process of being recorded, however any sample video of equal length could be used in the development / testing phase.
- After each video, a timed quiz will be presented to the user to test his knowledge of the recently viewed video content. The user must maintain an overall average score of the quizzes by a certain percentage, otherwise the course functionality is disabled for the user, and will prompt the user to call a phone number to qualify with proceeding with the course.
- After all Video sections and section quizzes are taken by the user, a final timed quiz is presented to the user. Based on the test results it is determined whether the user passed the whole course or not.
- If the user's session times out, or the user logs out. A course review on what the user has completed and what he can proceed to in the course should be presented to the user when he logs in again.
- Customer information, Course Progress, Timer data, etc must be supported via a MYSQL database on the backend
- Frontend Site / UI to be built using HTML / CSS (Primary Layout and design will be provided by our Graphic Designer in HTML / CSS for 1 home page and 1 inner page. These 2 pages and their layout will be used by winning bidder to build out the rest of the site)
- Logic / Supporting Functionality to be built using PHP / MySQL / Javascript / Ajax

- General Site Layout and Design is currently in the process of being developed by a Graphic Designer (1 home page and 1 inner page). The HTML/CSS corresponding to this layout will be provided to the winning bidder to use in building out the online course using this general layout.
- Ecommerce solution for use in customer signup has yet to be decided, however Zen Cart or Magento are currently on the top of list of possibilities. Winning bidder should be familiar with these or other equivalent packages. The purchase catalog will only consist of 1 item (which is the course itself) so the ecommerce work is fairly simple relatively.

Current Status - I have numerous videos hosted on my Amazon S3 account that my users can play on my website no problem with a simple click and stream immediately because I have flash installed. Most of my videos are FLV's and some are MP4's, however my problem is if I or any other user wants to play my website videos on their iPhone, it wont work because of the whole Apple doesn't support Flash format on there mobile devices. I need a workaround this.

convert an SWF video file into an FLV video file. Video and audio quality needs to be maintained. I will later be placing the file on a website in an FLV player (you don't need to do this part).

PHP Linux Video Transcoder overnight script
So here is the flow;
1. User goes to web form
2. Enters their info into form
3. Picks a video to upload
4. Submits form and they see progress of upload
5. Form Completes and they get a "thank you" page with some text
6. Server processes the video that night (after 1am)
7. Competition Staff member gets an email with the User info & .flv attached or logs into a webpage to view
8. Staff member can uploads the video to Gallery 2

edded flash-player with a code that loads this movie as H.264 with the same dimensions. Of course you also have to download and then convert the .flv to H.264 on the server at the same time and while converting show some guessed time remaining till playback starts...

Installation of FFMPEG and FFMPEG-PHP on FreeBSD to convert avi and mpeg to FLV by systeamusa
FMPEG and be able to convert from any video type to FLV, video must have sound. I believe we need FFMPEG-PHP as well because we want this conversion to take place online; the guy uploads the video and this video will be converted to FLV automatically. However, all we need to accomplish is the installation of the needed softwares and make sure we can convert locally from for example mpeg to FLV.
