Mass PDF Export of Invoices Stored in SQL Database
Required skills: .NET, PDF, SQL, Windows Server
We have a billing application that stores data in MS SQL, using a Crystal Reports template tied into an old FoxPro application to print the bills each month for customers.
We are in the process of moving to a new platform, and as part of this we need a repository of PDF bill images for all past bills.
This means we need an application built that would allow us to connect to the SQL database and process through the history of past invoice data, automatically saving each invoice as a PDF to the system hard drive. There are approx 50,000+ old invoices, so the entire process would need to be automated.
This application would be run on a Windows Server, so I'm guessing .NET would be the preferred development platform, though we are open to alternatives.

NET and is easily expanded / adapted later on as more requirements are set.
HOWEVER, if you feel that better development platforms (than .NET) should be used then please make the case for this and be clear on how you would perform this job.

He additionally added that one of the files being called by the database ( a file called dsn.asp) contains the database name and password (which it does). There are (2) other files routinely called by the database that are in the same location. They don't do this work.
I am looking for a bandaid to fix this problem, nothing elaborate or overly involved. Moving the files to a different location and/or redirecting them.

After this, in the interface, I am able to select a small video, I generate the hash, and I compare it to what I have stored in my database, and if I find a hash that is somehow similar, then I have a succesfull match.
