Visual Design for a Workbook Website

We've posted our new website, www.quizbit.com, and it looks awful!
It's also not nearly feature complete, but ignore that for now.
We'd like you to create the visual design for the site. Take what's there and give it some flair! Make it suck much less.
We're completely open to new logo designs. What's there now is something one of us just crapped out.
The site itself, in case we don't get a chance to improve what's there before bidding begins, is a workbook website. Any registered user can post a short question or exercise, along with an answer, that anyone can come along and solve.
For example, if you wanted to learn to program using Java, you could come and look at the Java questions and exercises posted. You could solve some, then post some yourself. It's a great, fast way to learn by doing.
The site is very very immature, still, so please feel free to imagine the concept in any way you see fit.
Please respond to this post with an explanation of your previous work in UI/IA design and links to designs you've created.

gh should have a clean, pleasant and positive appearance. Creative input from the designer is welcomed but not essential.
We will supply the content for the additional pages (FAQ, Articles, etc), which are to be brought up in separate browser windows.
It would be good if users are able to send e-cards (our design) from the site but we are not sure what this involves and whether it is realistic within budget, and bidders should discuss this with us.

Graphical design for a small website in Drupal
Provide the graphical elements for this site
- Build it in the Drupal (www.drupal.org) content mgt. system
- Come up with a Lightroom Web Gallery Template design
- Build that in Lightroom 2.x
(You do NOT have to build and upload all the galleries)
The title will be: Fotografie | Peter Dörr
where "Fotografie |" is in grey and "Peter Dörr" is in Dark Green.

If you are interested in long term partnership on website design please indicate as well. We will be looking for a lot more web design for the other upcoming projects which are more extensive than this. Qualifications are more important on ability to make quality stuff, price is less important of a factor.

I will need first a picture to show them (jpeg, ...). If ok I will need the design in XHTML/CSS. I will do the php and back office myself.
This project is a real one and I will need to show something this Monday. It is a small budget, but as they already paid me I can do it now.
If you want to make quick extra with your Photoshop skills it isthe good moment :)
