Falling Kitchen Nook
Required skills: 3D Rendering, After Effects, Animation, Illustration, Industrial Design
Hello:
I’d like to create a series of three to five images, all similar and modeled on the attached photo (or new photos that I can certainly provide), that shows how an extended porch (see attached photograph) has lost its support and structural integrity. The images you create should NOT contain the decorative items that are not part of the story. The images should just contain the structures and the items that are relevant to what I am trying to show.
This elevated breakfast nook—a 10 X 10 structure that extends outward from the main part of the home—has fallen approximately 6 inches. There is now a steep decline in the floor of the kitchen nook which forced the windows and doors to go askew and allows cold air to enter the home without any resistance.
The causes of the collapse of the breakfast nook are what I would like to show in a sequence of images.
EXPLANATION A gray water drain pipe underneath the concrete slab has broken. A plumber, using a snake with a camera says water from the drain pipe seeped out causing the concrete slab to lose its soil and sand foundation which enabled the slab to slide outward toward the guard railing. Because the posts holding up the kitchen nook are un-footed, the slab has taken the posts and kitchen nook with it, causing the kitchen nook to pull downward and away from the house. Trusses that are in the ceiling of the kitchen nook have teetered upward forcing pressure on the roof of the house and causing an unmistakable bulge in the roof line.
When the kitchen nook began to fall, a hot water heat pipe in the floor of the kitchen nook yanked away from its connection, burst open and sent out all the hot water of the once closed-end heating system.
There are significant breaks in the exterior walls of this home. There is also a wide gap between the main home and the concrete slab that at one time had hugged the lower wall.
I need to show, in order:
1) How the structure was originally upright and sound
2) Then, how water seeped out of the breaks in a long drain pipe underneath the concrete slab taking sand and dirt with it, and how the slab then began to slide outward, taking the support posts with it.
3) Then, how a second pipe underneath the floor of the kitchen nook pulled away and broke from the main hot water heating system, and how that pipe had been the only thing holding the kitchen nook to the rest of the house until the strain became too great, sending a burst of hot water out from the floor directly underneath the kitchen nook.
4) Then, how a precipitous drop in the structure occurred when nothing was left to hold the nook in place.
I don’t need it immediately—it can be done as time permits in your schedule, but must be completed over the next thirty days. Milestone payments will be made during the course of the project.
To compete for this project I will need to see one (just one, please) simple animation of a building where something happens.
