Simple Trust Account Manager in VB

I want to transfer my paper trust account records over to a simple VB custom application to input and store data past, present and future. The only data to be entered would be client name, assigned client number, transaction date and transaction number (from first transaction to last or most recent transaction). The program should have a single screen user interface to input data and should produce two types of reports. The first report would simply be a running tab of all deposits and withdrawals from the start of the business to current and would indicate the dates and sequence of all transactions. The second report would be a comprehensive report of all deposits and withdrawals for each client (dates and amounts in sequence from beginning to most recent). An important point to remember here is that any particular deposit may involve one or more clients, whether a deposit or withdrawal. For example, I may have a deposit of $ 5000 that consists of five separate clients depositing $ 1000 each. This needs to be reflected in the tranaction detail so that $ 1000 is allocated to each of the five clients. Also, the transaction could be a single client- for example a deposit or withdrawal of $ 5000 for a single client only. I am told that VB with Access would be a good way to design such a program.
