PDF viewer with security
Required skills: AJAX, Flash, Javascript, PDF, PHP
Brief:
Infile requires a web based PDF viewer to be used in its document management system. The objective is to give the administrator full control of the level of access users can have and add an extra security level to the documents. For example:
• An operative user can only visualize a document. The “download PDF” button is disabled as well as the “Copy” and “Print” buttons.
• A manager user has all the buttons active.
Requirements:
Granular Security:
Security should be able to be managing granularly. Depending on the role of the user, the feature buttons can be activated or disabled individually.
API:
Infile’s document management system is based on PHP, therefor the application or plugging should receive the parameters though this programming language.
Keyword search:
PDF with OCR should have the option to search keywords within the document. The results should be highlighted, similar to what Adobe Acrobat is able to do.
Technology:
The application should be developed using “standard” technology, such as Flash, Silverlight, Ajax, Java or equivalent.
