E-Com site upgrade and Create Inventory Management System
Required skills: eCommerce, MySQL, OSCommerce, PHP
We have an existing e-commerce website which needs some upgrades. Site is new and designed in PHP.
Before you bid, please be sure to understand our project and ask questions if necessary. We need to see your work portfolio before we will entertain your bid. All design of the site should be compatible with current design. If your design is not up to standard we will not pay for the work until it is fixed. Our designer will approve all design and will work with you to make sure it is to our standard.
The following is a list of what needs to be done:
* Back end Inventory Management System (IMS) which would allow us to enter all our inventory, and the site would maintain the inventory as and when items are sold or when new items are entered. We have an existing database (MYSQL via phpMyAdmin) on site and rights to change table structure, however database is very generic and basic. Database needs to have all options below for wholesale/consignment/retail.
* Reminder generators that notify us when certain items are low.
* Reports that show who has bought what, when and at what price. Based on selection of criteria: start date, end date, customer, brand, model, price etc.
* Wholesale client entry which would allow us to give wholesale access to certain customers, and therefore they can see wholesale pricing and purchase accordingly. Wholesale orders have criteria as well to ship i.e. min pcs/$ purchase.
* Wholesale pricing where we can apply wholesale pricing per brand, or per item. Pricing based on preset calculation of % of retail or manual override.
* Consignment clients where we can have data on consignment customers who only pay when goods sell. Consignment is when we send out pieces for free to a customer, and then bill them as they sell. This way we know where our stock is laying and how much we are owed. Also, site would automatically or manually generate invoices based on items sold at a consignment customer - balance of items would remain.
* Multi currency module that allows for our pricing to be offered in several currencies and clients can select currency according to their location.
* Multi language module that allows for our customer to select different languages.
* Invoice generation - site would automatically generate invoice for retail or wholesale purchases.
* Different access levels where we can provide access to our admin/staff to see/maintain inventory etc.
* Sold items these items to still show up, except with a "sold" sign over it.'
* Wish list - wish list to be added to all items. Wish list tied into customer account which requires a log in, although customers can choose to remain a guest and not log in.
* Zoom feature - item can be zoomed into.
* Emailable / Printable catalogue where site would generate an emailable or printable catalogue based on criteria: brand, model, price, in-stock, etc.)
* Discounts / Promotions - database should have option of selecting items for discounts/promotions. Items on discount/promotions should be marked as such on each item. I.e. if the item is reduced by 20%, then item should show original price with a strike across it and then the new price.
* Future expansion - database should have option of expansion in future to accommodate other variables in product i.e. colour, size, gender.
