This project is for a professional, high quality web designer. This website is a global sales and marketing site that supports a software based service.
We have a look and feel for a website we wish to emulate: Attached is a pdf layout of the front landing page and subsequent template pages – good example website includes: www.huddle.net, but we have a very different idea for the home page.
The individual page layouts will follow a template structure, and the individual page text will be supplied to the freelancer once the landing page has been completed to our satisfaction – we will supply all text content and where appropriate we will insert this content at a later date – BUT you will be required to add images and undertake high end graphic design.
We need the site to have high end flash navigation and gallery options. The landing page will have the predominate flash components, the rest of the pages will be fairly static.
We will supply a number of powerpoint diagrams that will need to be incorporated into the website, and the web designer will need to some graphic designing, as well as sourcing / supplying relevant images.
This site needs to be built on an opensource CMS platform.
Other requirements this template should follow include:
- Deep linking support
- Allow search engine index and tracking for each tab/module
- xml-driven content including, php, and CSS and flash
- Design element of the template should be easily changeable through xml with minimum edit to flash source files
- Preloading animation should be customizeable easily using an external swf file
The site will need to be tested and must work on both Mac and Windows platforms and in all popular Internet browsers (including I.E, Firefox , Safari, Chrome, Opera). It must also be accessible via mobile devices .... E.g. apple, Blackberry, Windows Mobile...
The site must have SEO included and be social media compatiable.
Script coding will be evaluated for quality as it is expected that the system will be maintained by a third party.
The web develop must develop the website on their own server and once we are fully satisfied, port the system to our server on completion. We will expect some support for resolving any compatibility issues when the website is ported to our server. Our current server environment is: Operating system - Linux; MySQL version – 5.0.90-community; Apache version2.2.14; PHP version5.2.11.
Time frames and tasks:
1. Pre-Design:
- Pre-Design confirmation based on supplied wireframe – Day 1
- Concept development – Day 2
- Wireframes for all pages – Day 3
- Full colour scheme (the website will need to follow the colour scheme of our logo) – Day 4
- Images – Day 8
- Mock up – Day 10
2. Architecture of the information:
- Menu set-up – Day 12
- Content editing and inclusion – Day 20
- Usability tests – Day 22
- Site map – Day 23
3. Web Design and Implementation
- Final and last proposal – Day 30
4. Implement simple payment system
- Implement global payment system such as gateway to pay-pal - Day 32
5. Porting support to our server
- Support for resolving compatibility issues etc – Days 33 and 34
Only fully committed and experienced personnel to get back to me with a confirmation of time frame and cost for full works.
Please state in your bid the following “understand and commit to delivering all the requirements to expectation and timescales indicated” in addition to any other comments you have – otherwise your bid will be ignored / deleted.
Please don’t bid if you can not complete the job fully or if haven’t priced for all the work. I have had two projects where the freelancer has failed to deliver. Only an initial deposit will be put into milestone payment and the rest when the full website is designed and operational, as per instructions.
The freelancer must be available for collaboration and discussion over Skype over the project period – if you cannot dedicate the time to this project, please don’t bid.
This is a creative and high end design, so I will need to see working examples of jobs that you have completed that match the criteria and our expectations. Excellent graphic design experience is necessary. Please do not quote on this project if you do not have experience or can not deliver a finished, working solution in the time stated here. All deliverables will be considered 'work made for hire' under U.K. Copyright law. We will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased, including all images.
We do not have a large budget for this work so please quote your best price to supply all of the features described – however we will pay for excellence and if you do a good job, we will use you again and promote you to our large client base, who are predominately outsourcing customers. For an exceptional website, we will pay a bonus at the end of the project.
