Small Program to Compare Columns And Rows in an Excel fileRequired skills: C Programming, C++ Programming, Java, Software Architecture, Visual Basic
This is my first time hiring out for a program. My needs I know are rather simple to write, it is just beyond me to do so myself. I need a program that I can take an Excel document. And have it search the document for a few different variables.
I would prefer it to be having an option to select which variables to look for, what two columns to compare, and what amount of the variable to search for. I then would like it to compare those two columns, and look for differences between all the entries down each column. Comparing like row to like row. Examples : ---- A ----------B --------C ---- D ----- 1 1111.11-- 211.11 xxx xxxx 2 1111.11 -- 211.11 xxx xxxx 3 1111.11 -- 211.11 xxx xxxx 4 1111.11 -- 211.11 xxx xxxx 5 1111.11 - 211.11 xxx xxxx I would like to be able to set a variable for the search parameter. For instance, I want to check all numbers in Column A with all numbers in column B, and be able to compare them and flag any that match my variables. Such as =IF(A1>=B1*0.8,"YES","NO") Or something along that line. I need to compare a percent amount, and if Column A is 80% or more than the number in Column B I want it flagged. (Assuming that 80% or 0.8 was what I entered into the search parameter. A simple UI will suffice. Even something as simple as VB would probably work. I am open to suggestions and am willing to discuss details further. This should be a relatively simple project for the correct programmer. And a quick way to make some money. ~Z
