Hello designers
I am looking for creative and appealing design ideas on a unique hand tool we sell already for many years. The adjustable wrench comes as a handheld tool or in combinations with a multitool.
We look for a minimum of 10-20 fresh, modern and consumer attracting design ideas, delivered as colored sketch (jpg) or rendered image. To start with design ideas we will provide 2D Drawings, pictures, video and also 3D CAD Model, along with some ideas, industry examples as reference and requirements to watch for.
Designer should understand Consumer Product design, including basic knowledge of mechanical parts and molded plastics.
Plastic Grip Handle:
Some features to be addressed are:
Single and dual color grip handle
Ergonomic shape of plastic handle
Suggest various handle colors/combinations
Integrate Logo or OEM Names in Handle
Adjustable Wrench Assembly made of polished stainless steel:
Find modern looking outer profile, now elliptic shape
Pivot pin could be visually more in focus
Jaw front part should look more slim for easy screw/bolt access
Lower jaw segment could have visible grip area. Thumb is used here to open jaw.
On Surface laser engraved text possible (Size, Name, Logo)
Adjustable Wrench Assembly must look nice as Handle Version, but also in combination with Multitool body.
The best design solutions will be chosen for our in-house engineering.
We look for quick turnaround within one week if possible. Pictures of the current tools are here attached.
