Comic Book Reader for Ipad
Required skills: iPad
I am looking for someone to develop comic book reader for the iPad. The application should support the common comic book formats such as .cbr, .cbz, and .PDF.
The layout should allow user to list all of their uploaded comic books in three ways. The first is a standard billeted list. The second view option should be to view comics by book cover. The books should be layed out in horizontal rows of 4 books per row. The third option would allow people to view their comics in cover flow style.
All three options should allow users to their comic books by ascending or descending order alphabetically.
Once a comic book is chosen, it should display the comic book using the whole screen. A button should be located near the bottom right of the screen. When pressed this button should bring out a sliding pane from the left of the screen. This will be a navigation pane that allows the users to see thumbnails of all the pages in their current comic book. The navigation screen will also give them the option to navigate to their master list of available comics and choose a different comic for viewing.
While viewing a comic, the user should be able to pinch and zoom the comic. The user should also be able to click on any single text block within the comic to have it enlarge that text block so it more easily visible. If possible, I would also like to copy the style of reading that the marvel application currently has in it’s iPad app. When you double click a comic book it allows you to view each panes in the comic one by one. It automatically moves to the next pane when you swipe your finger. This is not crucial and depending on overall complexity may not be an option.
The actual cosmetic design I will leave up to the winning bid, but I am looking for something that looks nice and polished like the Marvel app from the app store.
