Ruby on Rails Site update and slight redesign

We are in the process of expanding our website before launching it to the public and need some enthusiastic developers to help us out.
We are a driving lessons comparison service.
These role/s is a temporary position, although we are looking to expand our team in the future, so a longer term contract could be arranged based on performance.
These are development and design role/s requiring knowledge of build and user ability issues.
You will be confident using Ruby on Rails and have some knowledge/experience of web design and layout.
You will be enthusiastic and able to work to short deadlines.
You will have knowledge/experience of working with Facebook applications.
You will be working closely with our marketing and design teams so communication is key! Although a degree of confidence in your own design skills will be necessary.
We want to improve the user experience on the site from a learners perspective - so they can more easily and more intuitively find their required information should that be about a particular instructor or a tip/hint on learning to drive. The user experience from an instructors perspective is fit for purpose at the current time and we will look more at that in the future but our focus now is on improving the site from a learner's perspective.
We want to put user submitted content on the individual instructors pages such as reviews, Q&As, uploaded videos and articles. We want the home page to feature recently added instructors and recently added content such as reviews, Q&As, videos to help our SEO.
We hope to encourage user contribution with easy login such as Facebook Connect and other Open ID features. We also want to improve the hints and tips section to include the videos and articles submitted by ourselves and the instructors.
We want to bring our comparison proposition to Facebook by developing an app that allows users to search for instructors and book lessons using the Facebook app. This will provide those instructors on our site and with a link to easily download and install the app on their facebook account/our facebook fan page. There should also be the ability for instructors who are fans of our facebook page to automatically add their details to our site database and join the service from Facebook.
You may have experience of working with e-commerce sites or even comparison sites in other industries and will be aware of best practice when comparing services which could be useful in this project. We are launching a new iPhone app for learners in June and we want to feature this on our website and use it as a mechanism to sell more driving lessons by providing it for free or at a discount to learners who book lessons.

This project is a ruby on rails site to find missing mobile phones (android and blackberry only).

n, etc. So, in that sense, whilst it's Rails, it almost doesn't need someone who can do Rails. It needs someone who's done a fair bit of this solr tweaking already to make recommendations as to what works best.
We'd also need a 'quick reference sheet' done that could just advise how we could push up or down the boosting different fields, etc.
So... this job won't necessarily take very long, as it's 95% implemented. It's far more about being a solr guru.

UI cross browser fixes and changes on Rails site
o able to work on existing site written in Ruby on Rails to update 5 pages. Site is working well. But need to resolve some small issues on 3 pages and come up with better UI for admin module. Also review CSS code to be clean.

Ruby on Rails site needs update and move
ite is not working. I want to replace that with a working contact form either using ruby or google apps. I also want to create a new content section to my site entitled Tables with a contact form (can use google apps for that also).
There are a few other minor fixes that I want that I will discuss with you. If you understand ruby on rails it should not be difficult at all or take much time.
