Retrieving information from Second Life via PHP

Second Life is a well-known MMORPG game.
Once you have an account and done transactions with other players, you can download from Second Life website the list of your transactions and parse them into a MYSQL database since it can be retrieved in XML format. A transaction reflects the object/money you sent or received from other players.
Currently, when you want to upload your transactions, you need first to log manually in Second Life website (avatar name, password), and either go to the transactions page or type “https://secure-web20.secondlife.com/my/account/download_transactions.php?date_start=2009-09-24&date_end=2009-09-24&type=xml&include_zero=yes” if you want to download the transactions dated 2009-09-24.
Nevertheless, it seems possible to download and parse the transaction automatically without any human interactions via PHP/Curl, as indicated here at end of the page “https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-595”.
The job consists to write the PHP/Curl script that retrieve the transactions from Second Life website automatically and parse them into a MYSQL database. The source code of the login page of Second Life and an example of a XML file are given in the attachement.

I'm looking for a php script that stores the data it recieves from SL as a txt file untill it recieves a 'ready' trigger and then posts all 'slices' together. ( either to pastebin or just as a html file )
The script should delete the txt file after posting.
It should also be able to handle multiple users at once without getting confused.

Preg_match_all - Extract Information From A File Name - Php

From these, I need to extract the following information use preg_match_all:
1. The product name, here "L-Phenylalalin", "HCK Selenhefe" or "L-5-HTP" or some other name along this basis.
2. The number at the end of the file name. This changes for each file.
This information will then be entered into a database (done by me). Should be simple, but has been a long time since I dealt with preg_match so I don't want to have to refresh my knowledge.

Likely there would have to be seperate admin panels for some of these pages as we can't have 1 GIGANTIC admin panel especially when it's listing all colors, trans, engines, options, etc.. :-) Setting a default thumbnail. Ability to easily add a new YEAR, or MODEL, or VARIATION for future Camaro years.

The second part of the project is creating an HTTP interface that our client application will use for retrieving information from the database, approximately 20 methods.
