Hello,
I'm looking for a logo design and corporate identity kit for my young company. We take great pride in our mission statement and our strategic objectives and thus we are looking for a corporate graphic identity to match.
I'm looking for a simple but telling design for the logo. I need a graphic and color scheme that can be used on proposals (adobe pdfs), on the website, on business cards and other correspondence - everything defined under a complete corporate identity kit. The corporate Logo should be a graphic combined with the company name and each element should be able to be used separately, if needed.
The logo needs to be representative of our company as the vanguard for a new era of corporate responsibility and globalization in the private equity world. It also needs to have a telling story behind it. Our name, "Maendeleo" is the Swahili word for progress. Native speakers will realize it has a double meaning - is also used to suggest success in slang terms, i.e. progress = success. We are trying to do good by doing good. A tough but compelling mission. We want our logo to be something compelling as well - international but with a meaningful story behind it, rooted in history but also modern and cutting edge. The logo should represent the Lexus and the olive tree.
A couple ideas we've come up with for a graphic would possibly include an ancient coin from Egypt, the Islamic Empires, Greece, Persia, etc...representing global trade and commerce. Or possibly an old trading ship, like a dhow. Or a combination of symbols or calligraphy from different periods of history, e.g. The olive tree with a modern symbol of progress (not the Lexus) or Arabic calligraphy for knowledge or progress.
We are looking for hungry, creative designers who are up to this challenge. We are not looking for a cut-and-paste logo factory. We are looking for someone who, like us, will be proud of their work.
In your submission, please include the following:
1. A short paragraph on why you're the right candidate.
2. Pricing Details (i.e. $ X USD for logo, $ X USD for CIK or $ XUSD for both). Please no hidden charges.
3. Specify the number of revisions at each stage. I am looking for unlimited, but will make exceptions in extreme cases.
