Project for sjj: Ruby on Rails Git setup and Training
Required skills: Ruby/Ruby on Rails, System Admin., Training

Use Remote Desktop (I will provide remote access) to setup Git on Windows (mysysgit, Putty, etc) and to clone repository, commit, push, etc.
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is required as the website that I will need to edit is built on Ruby on Rails. I will want basic training on how to edit minor changes (e.g.; text on homepage, footer, etc)
I already have knowledge of PHP, mysql, HTML, CSS, etc - so this should be a very fast project. The previous developer will provide all information needed.
Must be able to do a skype conversation while on Remote Desktop so I can be trained on how to edit files and push changes to production.

a ruby on rails application setup with multi threading shown and the connection to the mysql database. Just leave comments as to where I put in the mysql information as well as make use of the multi threading. If you have experience with Ruby, this should take no longer than 5 minutes! I just need to know which file I would start coding into, after it is setup for multi threading. Please make it as simple as possible!
If you have any more questions, just ask in PMB. Thanks.

He/she will be the only developer for now - on an ongoing basis. I will Monitor the progress of the project by being the project manager and I'll setup the sprints. This is a long term contract that will eventually turn into a full time position. I am a one man company and I need one great developer. The money is not that great now, but once the position turns full time, then we'll reevaluate the salary.
k. I would like each item as a single commit into a git branch that I can then approve or return for further development. If this work goes well, I have a number of similar Rails projects ( CMS style applications, mainly with no tests, that I inherited from other developers) that need general bug-fixes and enhancements doing, so good work here WILL lead to further contracts. I look forward to reading your applications. Rahoul.
to it and the user can tick this box for any and all of the orders they'd like a packing slip for. At the top of the list, there will be a master checkbox which will select ALL of the orders in one click. The user then clicks ' Print' which opens up a system print dialogue and sends packing slips for ALL of the selected orders to the printer in one hit. The successful bidder should have a good working knowledge of Shopify.

Please let me know an hourly rate along with your experience and any sample public work you've done would be useful.
I need to find someone ASAP - I did post a project similar to this back in January, if you posted a bid then please do again, unless you don't meet the requirements above.
