patentable design for electrical outlet cover
Required skills: AutoCAD, CAD/CAM, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Rendering/3D
I have a range of home decor products which attach to or cover existing standard sized light/electrical outlets. I want to expand my range to include covers which will replace the outer light switch cover of these standard major Australian brand light/power outlet switches. In order not to breach current patents I need to develop a new design that I can patent if necessary. The main aspect of the new design will be the underside of the cover and the manner of secure attachment to the existing switch. I see this design as a minor / simple design project. As I will be creating products to fit a variety of switch configurations (eg, power outlet and switch combo, or 1-3 light switches per cover) I will require ongoing designs.
I will require a full set of drawings including 3D which shall be used by manufacturers. Once the switch design (underside) is prepared I will then modify this with a variety of outer designs, shapes and manufacture in various materials such as wood, ceramic, metal and poly resin.
Please do not bid unless you have significant and successful experience in product development/ design and manufacturing processes.
