some of the issues are:

icq does not work with authenticating users.
openfire chat protocol not working between users correctly.
some issues with users being able to invite other users.

Strong knowledge of server admin/php/mysql and little js and jsp will help also.

Although this project is not really adult it is made for the adult industry.
