I am looking for someone to create a logo for a new website we are launching. The logo will be more than just a logo, it should show the encompass the brand of the business. The feel should be professsional, glossy, maybe a litte (very little) humourous and quirky. The logo would be accompanied by a character of some sort.
The logo is to be designed for a drinks price comparison site 'drinsktrader.com' where users can search for the cheapest beers, wines etc in their local area. I am looking for people to come back to me with samples of previous logo design work and character illustartion work, suggestions on the type of character and ideas they may have for this project.
In addition to the above I am looking for quotes for the initial logo and character creation as well as 4 different versions of the charcter which could be used in various site sections e.g. on a search page the character could be holding a magnifying glass (your own ideas are welcome).
The colour pallete for the site will be roughly http://www.colorcombos.com/color-scheme-270.html maninly focusing on the deep wine reds and using the other colours merely to spruce up the site. The site design will be slick, bold, clear and professional. As mentioned above, the character is being introduced to help add some (again..a very little) fun, quirkyness to the brand image and also to make all pages seem a little brighter.
I am looking for someone reliable and who would be able to start work from early next week.
Please supply the following in your reply:
- examples of recent work including 1) illustartions and character design 2)logo designs
- your ideas and approach for this project
- examples of illustration style you would apply to this project (examples do not have to be your own as long as you can work to the same quality level)
- your rates for the intitial logo and character design as well as rates for each additional 'view' of the character

NOTE: If you feel a character may not be appropriate to the design please feel free to post your own opinions and examples of what style you think may work as the logo should be professional and modern first and foremost maybe something slightly corporate may help. If you can win me over with a few examples of the styles you think may work (again - does not have to be your own work as lon as you can match the quality) the job is yours.
