Editable Database for Resources with Shopping Cart

Thank you for looking at my project.
My website:http://www.achildgrowsinbrooklyn.com has lots of pages with listings of resources for parents (like doctors, toy stores,etc). The idea is that these listings can upgrade their listing by loading 2 images up, editing their own information and having bolder, larger, colored fonts than the nonupgraded listings. They will need to pay to upgrade their listing, then edit it, then load images up and also enter events into our Google calendar for a small fee.
Please see the attached movie for the layout and setup.I have worked out all the options and navigation for the users.

I've got a joomla site with template and I want to add an online store using virtuemart. As I am a complete beginner, I am just having a little trouble setting it up. Is anyone interested in getting virtuemart up and running on my site for me?
