Go-Opti project is based on idea to sell over Internet transfers of passengers between cities, airports and points of interest. It is unique as it does not sell only private transfers and fixed time bus transfers but it tries also to gather different individuals, which on same day with certain time window, wish to travel on the same or similar route.
This web page will be selling online VIP, OPTI and FIX transfers and VIP and SHARED trips. VIP transfers are transfers, which are made only for the person booking, availability is 8 people per car and timings are as the clients wish. The price is known and final price is easy calculated. FIX transfers are transfers which timings, availability and price are set before. OPTI transfer is more complex as the price is related to various factors. Passengers are combined by the time window which they allow to be transfered. They can just state, what time can they be on the destination the latest or what time can they leave the destination the soonest.
With trips is easier as OPTI trips does not exist but only VIP and shared(same as fix). The difference is that transfers can be one way or return. Trips are always looked as a whole so whole trip is taken as one round way finishing where it started.
Important thing is the database with all availabilities for different transfers and trips on diffrent routes. For everyday there has to be known how many cars/seats are available and how much are booked.
In the project there are 4 diffrent users. Final users – buyers, sales partners (same as final users, just do not pay with CC, but later with invoice, which has to be generated from the system), main administrator and suppliers. Each supplier can input own locations, routes, trips, and price generating variables. The meaning of this is, that diffrent transfer providers can be part of this web-page without extra work for the adiministrator.
The admin has overlook over all. Opens account to new providers, adds new languages. The project will start in 2 languages (slovenian and english), but needs easy adding of new languages. Affiliate for other web pages is needed.
In attached document are all details, but do not have to be 100% followed. I wanted to express my needs, but if there are ideas, how could we easier combine different passengers with different timings in one vehicle and make pricing, I am open always open to them. Also the last part about databases is just written in a way of what informations are needed. How will be the input and actual structure is completely open. Simpler it is, better it is.
