Online Catalogue and Product Inventory System
Required skills: PHP, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Website Design
We are looking for a company to complete an online product and inventory website. The website will not be selling online but will be tracking customer orders.
These are the key features:
# Prices in backend are UK and prices on front in YEN (Manually set the conversion rate in backend)
# Need to have English language in admin and Chinese on the frontend
# Users can register on the site but the admin user will approve the registration and create a username and password
# Will include CMS for the page content
# Will include a banner management to change the main banner on the site
# The admin will input a discount and a freight cost per customer
# We need a basic logo completed as well
# The system will monitor inventory of the products but the product management will decide whether the products are displayed on the frontend or not
# Admin can change the quantity on orders if they do not have enough stock and then set the status for the user to approve the new quantity
# Stock reports needed
# Sales reports needed
The attached wireframes show the main pages needed. These may change slightly. There will not be a calculator and the discount box on the order page.
Design wise the clients like the site www.rainbowcosmetics.co.uk. This will be the look and feel that the website will have.

Inventory System

The Users must be able to log in only to see all inventory in a table, sortable by fields. There is no need for a shopping cart or checkout, as we already have that in place. We just need a way to display/manage our inventory in this manner. We are updating our inventory daily of about 3,000 items, so an efficient and exact system is needed. Thank You!

No complicated functions are required just to fill in and out data, add products add warehouse, see reports of available items in warehouses.

I make it sound a little more confusing and hectic than it really should be. I'm sure something like this exists somewhere. I'm sure there can be some sort of database file that can be sent over to the website database file and update it.
