IE Toolbar creation with links to a database
Required skills: .NET, ASP
Need a WEB-BASED application that can interact with Microsoft Office and a MSSQL or MySQL database.
The application will create a toolbar within IE (like a google toolbar). The following buttons will be on the toolbar (W for Word, E for Excel, P for Powerpoint, F for finished). When the user clicks the Excel button, the web application will download an Excel file and display it EMBEDDED in the Internet Explorer browser window.
The application will activate the primary Excel toolbars, so that they appear on the IE toolbar. The user can then the Excel toolbar and icon functionality to modify/perform calculations within the spreadsheet template.
When finished, the user will select the "Finished" button from the toolbar window. The server application will save the editted file back to the server.
Similiar functionality will also be needed for Word, and Powerpoint. Looking for the development of a prototype.
