Mote
Marketing, Inc., a
marketing and design firm located in Tucson, Arizona, USA, requests
bids for development of a customized
website content (primarily video) access control, subscription and statistical reporting application. This application will probably be developed in
PHP connected to one or more
mySQL databases, and will involve
Adobe Flash, perhaps
AJAX and possibly
XML playlist
aspects.
Our client for this project, hereafter referred to as “M”, is a Fortune 1,000 motivational speaker in the United States. He works with large companies and organizations, primarily in the areas of occupational health and safety, injury prevention, employee motivation, program effectiveness, etc.
“M” wishes to provide a service content by which content is “pushed” to designated end users (usually
management and supervisory personnel within large companies). They will receive a weekly
email message containing a hyperlink to a certain password-protected webpage displaying a video player and pre-recorded video clip. Each video clip will have an average duration of 3 to 5 minutes, probably in
Flash video (.FLV) format. There will initially be at least 52 video clips in the online library (1 for each week of a year). Users must also have direct login access to the complete video library available to their particular company/account package.
A detailed project description is attached in
PDF format, along with a
PDF document regarding the EdgeCast Content Delivery Network (CDN) that will be used for streaming the video content to the custom player application.
