I need an experienced developer that can write an php / mysql application that will read excel cvs files in various formats and will do the following things:
1. Have the application read a number of specified cvs files every day at a automated time or when activated manually, then update my Cre Loaded internet store. I should be able to set the time information into the application’s interface.
2. Apply predefined settings specific to a suppliers cvs file. These settings will be set with in the applications interface and saved so that this process can then be automated the next time.
a. Sort Categories, Manufacturers and product information form my suppliers cvs files.
b. It also then needs to be able to apply a margin and courier costs to the pricing information retrieved from my suppliers cvs files.
The margin will be based on, “buy price” + “percentage” + “courier cost”
The courier cost is a flat rate which will be set in the application’s interface
The percentage will be set in the application’s interface
Each Category will have a unique margin.
4. I want to be able to configure the application for different cvs files. Ease-of-use in this process is important.

Time for completion is not as important as the provider fully understanding the application and taking the time to do it correctly. I am very patient and more than willing to talk through any questions the provider may ultimately have.

We have a PHP / MySQL application that needs frequent changes and updates. Experience with Smarty templates is required. Please express interest ONLY if you have time to support our on-going needs.

Some attempt at stripping out illegal/problem characters has been made as has an attempt to stop sql-injection etc. Unfortunately the original developer has moved on to bigger and better things, and did not complete the project completely.

luded as long as the pieces above are all there and you provide the code and sql to create the database in my environment, along with sql to insert a reasonably sized (small) sampling of test data. I am a strong developer but more skilled in the logic and problem solving, and accomplish my most efficient end results when I have help on the front-end of a project like this.
